Manual therapy, orthopedics and sports therapy requires additional specialization and training beyond simply graduating from physical therapy school. After graduation, most therapists choose an area of practice, taking additional seminar training to advance their clinical skills. True advanced clinical skills are acquired through longer post-graduate programs that involve didactic, as well as clinical mentorship. LRS employees have completed post-graduate programs and are DPT, CIMT Credentialed.
PTs and PTAs who elect to work at LRS take pride in going thru advanced “hands-on” clinical training, which is not the norm in the industry, but is part of our company culture. Our practice model of one-to-one care has the PT/PTA see only one patient per hour and allows for ample time for teaching, practice and professional development. This pace of practice and availability of mentorship greatly accelerates the therapist’s skill set well beyond their years of training.
At Lansing Rehab Services, we pride ourselves on the commitment to ongoing professional education and development. When our clinicians partner with you, rest assured you are in the hands of a dedicated therapist who utilizes the most advanced and evidence-based approach to orthopedic and sports physical therapy.
