Manual therapy, orthopedics and sports therapy requires additional specialization and training beyond simply graduating from physical therapy school. After graduation, most therapists choose an area of practice, taking additional seminar training to advance their clinical skills. True advanced clinical skills are acquired through longer post-graduate programs that involve didactic, as well as clinical mentorship. LRS employees have completed post-graduate programs and are DPT, CIMT Credentialed.
Our PTs and PTAs elect to work at LRS take pride in going thru advanced “hands-on” clinical training is not the norm in the industry but is part of our company culture. Our practice model of one-to-one care, having the PT / PTA see only one patient for one hour, allows for ample time for teaching, practice and professional development. This pace of practice and availability of mentorship greatly accelerates the therapist’s skill set well beyond their years of training.
If you are being treated by an LRS therapy clinician, you can be assured that you are in the care of a therapist committed to long-term professional education and development, providing the most advanced and evidence-based approach to orthopedic and sports physical therapy.
